About

I have been involved with writing and editing (well, at least writing) since I was old enough to hold a crayon. My first published piece of work was when I was a junior in high school–I’ve been hooked on journalism, publishing, and writing/editing in general ever since.

Although I got my degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Guam, I was involved with writing, editing, and publishing the university student newspaper and later, freelance articles for the local newspaper throughout my years at the university. These articles helped me to get a job teaching English grammar and composition at a local parochial school (7th, 8th, and 9th grades).

After teaching for a few years, I got a job as a newspaper staff writer/photographer, which led to a job at a local military base as a technical editor/writer. Early in my technical writing career, I attended and passed the two-year program at the University of California –Santa Cruz Extension to get my Certificate in Management of Technical Documentation and Publications. I’ve been a technical editor/writer for the past 28 years and I’m available to help others learn about the more obscure techniques involved with technical and scientific documentation.
